Regression Hypnosis to a Past Life – How old is the human race?
Regression hypnosis to a past life can get very interesting at times especially when people recall lives in ancient civilisations.
Sure, discovering that you were a doctor in Victorian England or a farmer in 1600’s America is fascinating. You might even have a past life regression reveal you were a Japanese samurai from 1200’s.
Finding out who we were can be very intriguing. It is equally interesting however, maybe even more important, to discover the purpose of the life, and what was learned.
However, when working with past life regression hypnosis, sometimes past lives can get even stranger. Sometimes sessions take unusual turns, especially when people start report that they were living in lands. The people not only go to an ancient civilisation, but a civilisation that predates modern history.
Ancient cities
We have all heard stories of Atlantis, with the only living record of it in Plato’s: Timaeus, written around 360 BC. There are other records of other ancient continents such as Lemuria.
As well as these supposed ancient continents, even now, there are ancient sites being found around the world.
Sites such as Gobëkli Tepe, an ancient civilised city in Eastern Turkey being one of the most recent discoveries.
Gobëkli Tepe, discovered in 1994, is thought to date back around 10,000 years ago. Gobëkli Tepe and the building that are being unearthed, defies the levels of advancement we believed man to have at this time.
Ancient civilisations uncovered under regression hypnosis
While under past life regression hypnosis, I have had people report that they have lived in ancient lands. They have explained how they have lived lives as highly civilised people. It is reported that they lived in advanced cities with technologies that simply wouldn’t have existed even by today’s standards. In fact, they have even reported in some cases, that people of that time had harnessed the power of natural energy and used it for power and healing.
Common reports using regression hypnosis to a past life
I’m not the only person however to report ancient cultures. Authors such as Dr Brian Weiss and Delores Cannon have conducted many past life regressions with people revealing similar accounts.
The common factor seems to be that these contents were highly advanced. It seems through misuse of the energies they were harnessing, they brought about mass destruction to the contents. The destruction seemed to bring about huge floods and even an ice age.
Some people however have said that there were some survivors, managing to escape to nearby lands. Maybe these people were able to carry some of the ancient wisdom. Ancient wisdom and accounts that has found its way into our current religions? Even some of the ancient practices that exist from eastern medicine.

Theories that help support the idea of ancient civilisations. Although he doesn’t come at it from the angle of hypnosis and past life regression, past life regression hypnosis reports do add some more interesting backing to his theories.
Could there really have been ancient civilisations? Is our understanding of history inaccurate? Could we have been reincarnating as a species for much longer than we currently perceive?

What is the oldest someone has regressed to? 10,000 years? More?
That’s a tricky question, people have went back to ancient times, describing places that seem to be Atlantis or Lemuria. We don’t really know based on our calendar when this was. There are people like Graham Hancock, who has written about evidence suggesting there was a massive event, maybe around 12,000-17,000 years ago that wiped out civilisations. In past life regression, people go back to describe advanced civilisations, which destroyed themselves. This could be the result of the ice age. There are also archeological finds now like Göbekli Tepe that are believed to go back around 12,000 years. This was a civilised city that challenges current believes of mans evolution. Even the pyramids and the technology involved in produce them, doesn’t add up.
So in answer to your question, it’s hard to say when people have regressed to, based on our calendar. Seems to be much older than 10,000 years. It’s a controversial subject though, as there’s not much physical evidence. Graham Hancock though has written some interesting things on the idea of older civilisations backed up with what he believes to be geological evidence.
